Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You're looking at a very high quality and rarer early Beyer Dynamic M300N(C) model cardioid dynamic microphone that comes with a mic clip shown as well as the cable in which to operate.

This first generation M300N(C) model was built in West Germany during The Cold War and is a quality handheld cardioid dynamic microphone being both very practical to use and provides studio quality sound being set at Low Z with a strong, beautiful warm tone that you would expect from any high quality dynamic microphone.

If you had to compare a German mic that was the direct competition to the American made Shure SM-58 then the M300N(C) would be that mic both in quality, ruggedness and studio quality tone.

I believe these mics are no longer being made today but again, this is the early generation model and the fact that it's West German makes this very nostalgic. Just harder to come by.

The M300N(C) is an attractive standard looking mic with it's flat black finish and chrome globe with a bit of physical wear as you can see but still quite nice looking. It's extremely lite weight for it's size and appx 6 1/4 inches long X 2 inches wide at the globes bezel.

It should be noted that this mic was tested and has a "like new" signal and tone. It's 100% original. This mic was very well stored and gently used. It should be noted that two new inner foam pop filters were installed as the originals were long gone. Any foam from 40 + years ago is generally missing and that was the case for this old mic. The new foam pop filters greatly improve the sound quality of the mic as they were intended.

The M300N(C) has excellent cardioid characteristics making this ideal for vocals as it virtually eliminates all background noise. Very lite weight making it easy to hold for prolonged periods of time. It's an all metal construction as well and as you can see in the pics provided there is typical lite physical wear. Some scuff marks & scratches on the handle here and there. You can see where there was taped applied to the top of the handle many years ago. It has since been removed but it left a permanent stain on the black paint.

The mic is free of fractures, odors or tarnish and I'd rate the cosmetic condition a very conservative 7 + on a scale of 1 - 10. There are no dents on the front screen though. The label is barely legible but you can see it's a West German model and the serial # is just too hard to make out. This mic was handled quite a bit over the years. The XLR pins on this mic were cleaned as well ensuring a perfect signal once an XLR cable is attached.

What's nice about this microphone is that it uses the standard XLR cable so any XLR cable you have will work on this mic though a cable is provided.

The mic clip is also included and grips the mic firmly. It has just very lite wear and will screw onto any desk or floor stand you have. It provides a wide degree of tilt forwards and backwards as well as complimenting the mic.

The nice Neutrik brand cable is also included and it's appx 10 feet long. Soft, pliable and in perfect condition. It has the male and female XLR connectors.

If you need something fun for the studio that few other musicians or broadcasters have...this 80's era M300N(C) will certainly get the job done. It sounds a lot like a Shure SM58 model. You're going to love the sound of this mic.

MICROPHONE STAND SHOWN IS NOT PART OF THIS SALE...USED FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.
