G&L USA ASAT Special finished in Gloss Black with a black 3-ply scratchplate and rosewood fingerboard (2002).

This guitar is in very good working condition. There is a chip on the back of the body.

The neck profile is a comfortable C-shape. Fingerboard radius is vintage 7 1/2” with 22 medium jumbo frets.

Electronics:

Boasting G&L’s signature Leo Fender-designed MFD pickups, these single-coils use ceramic magnets and iron pole pieces to provide ultra-clear and articulate sounds with low noise. As the Jumbo versions of G&L’s standard single-coils, they have a slightly fatter sound with more punchy mid-range and can drive an amp hard. They are often compared to classic P-90s.

Hardware:

Fitted with G&L’s Leo Fender-designed “Saddle-Lock” bridge. The guitar also has a 100% natural bone nut.

The electronics have been replaced (originals included). It is still CTS pots and an Oak Grigsby switch with cloth wiring.

Original red tortoise shell pickguard has been replaced with a 3-ply black one. The pickguard was ordered from Pickguard Heaven (who made the original G&L pickguards of that era).

Includes the original G&L hardcase with some case candy.
