The Little Labs STD (Signal Transmission Device) is a high-quality instrument cable extender designed to solve tone loss and noise issues associated with long guitar or instrument cable runs. It uses a single-transistor unity gain buffer circuit housed inside a custom copper-tipped 1/4" phone plug that connects directly to your instrument. This active buffer loads the pickup correctly, preserving the natural frequency response and converting the signal to low impedance for noise-resistant transmission over long distances.
