Sitka Spruce braces provide structural balance, while Honduran Mahogany back and sides contribute warmth, clarity, and that unmistakable vintage midrange push. The Hill Country build and voicing approach focuses on quicker attack, wider projection, and a broken in feel straight out of the case.

The Honduran Mahogany neck is carved into Collings’ Hill Country large profile, full in the palm but never cumbersome, blending a Modified C to Modified V with rounded fingerboard edges for effortless long sessions. A compound 14 inch to 26 inch radius Ebony fingerboard, Gold Mother of Pearl dot inlays, Ebony binding, medium 18 percent nickel silver frets, and a 25 1/2 inch scale length provide precision under the fingers. The 1 3/4 inch nut width and 2 5/16 inch bridge spacing strike a perfect balance for fingerstyle players and flatpickers alike.

Visually, the Hill Country Sunburst finish glows beneath a vintage satin ultra thin nitrocellulose lacquer on both body and neck, allowing the guitar to resonate freely while delivering a subtly aged aesthetic. Tortoise body binding frames the instrument, while the hand poured rosette is meticulously matched to the pickguard, tail wedge, and heel cap.
