Presenting a medium weight mid 1950’s Avedis Zildjian Block Stamp ride cymbal. This one is drilled for ELEVEN rivets which are currently installed, and which give it a glowing shimmering classic jazz sound.
A hand hammered 70 year old cymbal that has a bright and warm stick feel; delicate and highly articulate for faster jazz tempos. The wash is fairly complex with lovely old A harmonics blending with the generous shimmer of the 11 installed rivets,
Accent crashes are particularly nice.
It opens up in a nicely understated way given the medium weight, and even has a hint of trash with all the rivets.
A timeless, classic hand hammered sound, with a healthy dose of that magic we all seek in old A’s☺️
This one is in great condition for its age with minimal patina and a very clean look that really captures the eye, no keyholing or edge issues, and just some minor surface wear.
