MINT, NEVER PLAYED EXCEPT FOR JIMMY PAGE! Gibson describes how JP plays several songs in different tunings on each guitar!
The Jimmy Page 1964 SJ-200 is a meticulously crafted, limited-edition acoustic guitar released in 2024 to honor the specific "Super Jumbo" used on Led Zeppelin’s early recordings, including their debut album. The expert luthiers at the Gibson Custom Shop developed this guitar in close collaboration with Jimmy Page, who provided feedback on the recreation's sound, wear, and feel, resulting in two versions. The offered guitar is a Murphy Lab Aged Limited Collector’s Edition.
Key Features:
- The "Cherry Tea" Finish: The guitar features a distinctive Cherry Tea nitrocellulose lacquer finish applied by the Gibson Murphy Lab to replicate the look of a 1960s original.
- Unique 1960s Specs: Unlike standard SJ-200s, this model replicates the specific features of Page's '64, including a gold Tune-o-matic bridge with nylon saddles set into a rosewood moustache bridge.
- Body Construction: Features highly figured AAA maple back and sides, a solid AAA Sitka spruce top, and a slightly deeper body construction at the neck joint for unique resonance.
- Neck Profile: A 3-piece maple neck with a custom round profile based on Page's recollection of the original.
- Aesthetics: Adorned with mother-of-pearl graduated crown inlays, gold Kluson Waffleback tuners with keystone buttons, and an engraved pickguard.
The Collector’s Edition (50 Units)
- Played and Signed: Each of the 50 Collector's Edition guitars was personally played and signed by Jimmy Page.
