The Tech 21 SansAmp Bass Driver DI V2 combines analog tube amplifier emulation, bass-focused EQ, and direct-box connectivity in one pedal. Dial in warm vintage-style tones, bright slap sounds, or gritty overdrive, then send your sound to an amplifier, recording desk, or PA mixer. Three outputs let you route processed tone and a separate clean signal to suit your stage or studio setup.

Version 2 Tone Shaping

• Three-band active EQ: Bass, Mid, and Treble controls provide up to 12 dB of cut or boost.
• Bass Shift: Selects 40 Hz or 80 Hz for low-frequency shaping, including the extended range of 5- and 6-string basses.
• Mid Shift: Selects 500 Hz or 1000 Hz for midrange adjustment.
• Drive: Adjusts gain structure and overdrive.
• Presence: Shapes definition and upper harmonic content.
• Blend: Mixes the direct bass signal with SansAmp Tube Amplifier Emulation.
• Level: Regulates the XLR and effected 1/4-inch output levels.

Analog Amp and Speaker Simulation

The 100% analog SansAmp circuitry encompasses preamp, power amp, and speaker simulation. The built-in speaker simulation is designed for a smooth, even response for live and recording applications. An external IR can be placed after the SansAmp for additional tonal shaping.

Three Outputs for Flexible Routing

• Effected XLR output for direct connection to a recording desk or PA mixer.
• Effected 1/4-inch output for amplifier and power-amp applications.
• Parallel, unaffected 1/4-inch output for a separate clean signal path.
• Footswitch activates the Tube Amplifier Emulation circuitry. With the emulation disengaged, the pedal functions as a standard active, transparent direct box.
