Here we have an early Gibson Marauder in Wine Red and a rosewood fingerboard, just like Pete Shelley‘s! This original trim is getting harder to come by these days. +++ we’re also including the original Gibson Promo/Demo 45rpm Record “The Marauder” featuring a wine red Marauder!

This guitar has been refret recently and has a custom cut bone nut. Gibsons of this era tend to already have wide flat frets. This was refret with slightly taller frets for a more modern feel.

It’s also been fitted with appropriate all metal Kluson Deluxe tuners to keep with the original look but with a more precise tuning ratio. The headstock did not need routing for this and even maintains the original wide flange ferrules.

The neck humbucker is from a ‘77 Marauder, and sounds great!

The finish has all the typical wear for a guitar of its age that has been played. Plenty of life in the truss rod, the neck plays great as the edges of the fretboard are rolled from 50 years of play.

Comes with a new TKL hardcase.
