Here is a 1978 Gibson Ripper Bass in Rare Sunburst Finish. According to Gibson Shipping records only 19 Sunburst Fretted Ripper Basses were shipped in 1978. A Figured Maple Body and Neck, Dual Pickups, 4 Way Rotary Switch for Great Tonal Variations, Ebony Fingerboard, and String Through Body Construction. Very Good Vintage Condition displaying play wear, nicks, and belt buckle wear. A small cosmetic stress line on the neck at the neck/body joint that has no movement. Just setup and it has clean Original Frets. Marked a factory second. Included is the Original Black Tolex Gibson Hardshell Case with some wear and tear (missing handle). A Rare Factory Sunburst Ripper Bass.
