Guild deserves to be in the conversation with all the best guitar makers, but it's fun to discover how truly outstanding they can be. This D-40 certainly makes the case. It's an all-solid wood dreadnought, with a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, rosewood bridge and fingerboard, and bone nut and saddle. It features a beautiful satin finish, and is so incredibly light weight. It's responsive, balanced, and has impressive sustain. The neck is easy to navigate, and the guitar stays impeccably in tune. And it's simply but elegantly appointed with white binding. The guitar has spent most of its life in a Guild-branded Humicase in a humidity-controlled room. And apart from a couple dings on the side of the headstock (see photos), it's in Mint condition (with plastic still on the pickguard). The sale includes the original Guild case. The only reason I'm selling is to make room for some smaller-body guitars.
