This is a cool one that I’m gonna be a little sad to see go. This is a 1983 USA Dan Smith body with a MIJ ST-72 neck from the mid-late 80’s. The previous owner bought it just like this from a pawn shop in the late 80’s, and actually didn’t know it was a partscaster, which does track given the age of the parts
The input jack was relocated from the pickguard to the traditional spot. The bridge and middle pickups are original, neck pickup is of unknown origin. I replaced the pots with CTS 250K’s a couple of years ago and cleaned up the pickup wiring a little bit. Plays and sounds excellent
There is one crack above the high E tuner. It was like that when I got the guitar and hasn’t gotten any worse over the 7 or so years I’ve had it. Does have a bit of “character” baked into the body from being 42 years old
I wish I could keep this one, but I‘ve got too many bursts and just need to thin the herd
