The Accessibly Appointed Pro Broadkaster LX

Guitarists wanting that legendary semi-hollow Gretsch style with a mightier sound and improved playing conveniences need to look no further than the Pro Broadkaster LX. Boasting a double-cut body of 100% maple with deeper cutaways and a revamped Channel Core hybrid interior center block of maple and spruce, the Pro Broadkaster LX bridges classic brightness in tone with modern attack, greater note definition, and vastly improved upper-fret access. Other efficiencies include a 12-inch-radiused ebony fingerboard with rolled edges for supreme navigability, backed by Pro Twin Six humbuckers that deliver Gretsch’s renowned dual-coil character with remarkable modern power. Top it off with an Adjusto-matic bridge and Bigsby B7GP vibrato combo, plus a sextet of Gotoh locking tuners, and the Pro Broadkaster LX will venture into myriad musical territories with outstanding top-shelf command.

Double-cut with optimized organics

Players are set up from the get-go for a brilliant and articulate tonal foundation of maple at the top, back, and sides of the double-cut Pro Broadkaster LX. The updated Channel Core center block of this semi-hollow factors spruce into the equation, which further improves the natural attack of this 6-string and helps bring midrange presence to the forefront. A matching maple neck shaped to a standard U profile and topped with a rounded-edge, 12-inch-radius ebony fingerboard lands in your hand with an optimized old-school feel, coming subtly flagged with those iconic Neo-Classic thumbnail fret markers.

Pro Twin Six equipped

The Pro Broadkaster LX’s optimal electric performance injects Gretsch’s modern sound with even greater power. To thank are Pro Twin Six humbuckers, which can easily dig into a variety of genres spanning from crunchy classic tones to the contemporary edge of alternative. To solidify your sound, classic Gretsch shaping controls apply, including per-pickup Volumes, a Squeezebox capacitor-equipped no-load master Tone control, and that distinct master Volume knob at the cutaway spec’d with treble bleed. Tweak to your heart’s content and unearth a wealth of tempting Gretsch tones entirely your own.

Golden dependability

Stem to stern, the golden glow of the Pro Broadkaster LX’s hardware ornamentation signifies a coveted legacy of class and professional playability. Down at the body, an Adjusto-matic bridge works with a handsomely imposing Bigsby B7GP string-through vibrato tailpiece, ensuring noteworthy sustain to accompany its traditional expressiveness. At the headstock, sealed-back Gotoh locking tuners alleviate intonation concerns for optimal live performance and studio tracking conditions. Furthermore, this Gretsch’s golden charm fills in every gap, from its pickup covers and plates to its knobs, selector switch, headstock plaque, and unmistakable Plexi pickguard.
