Up for sale, a 2024 Fender Custom Shop Limited Edition 1954 Precision Bass Journeyman Relic in mint condition, complete with the original G&G Deluxe hardshell case, CoA, all hangtags, and case candy. This Time Machine Collection P Bass replicates the feel, appearance, and tone of Leo Fender’s iconic original Precision iteration, the first-ever mass produced electric bass, with a handwound single coil pickup, one-screw “tug bar” finger rest, ‘55-style wiring harness, and aged Black nitro lacquer finish.

This Custom Shop Precision Bass features a contoured ash body paired with a quartersawn one-piece maple neck, and this bass has a round and resonant acoustic response with plenty of woody midrange. The handwound single coil pickup offers a strong fundamental punch, with a resonance and thump that cuts through with a different tonal color than later split coil P Bass pickups. The string-through body ensures the bass delivers smooth sustain and ample resonance, qualities further accentuated by a set of 45-105 flatwound strings. This Custom Shop ‘54 Precision Bass weighs 9lbs, professionally setup here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar with easy-playing action and accurate intonation.
