New, 2023 NAMM show purchase. Just demo'd and has less than an hour of total playing time on it. Weighs 2030g and has a glorious Jack DeJohnette sort of sound. Dry, dark, awesome bell, and crashes way better than any JD Sabian ride which run heavier. Great opportunity for collectors or anyone seeking Jack's sound but in a lighter and more crashable ride. Excellent for small rooms!
Like any handmade cymbal, this is a one-of-a-kind instrument. However, considering Bosphorus only produced a handful of these prototypes, and that this is likely the lightest and best sounding 20" example, those distinctions make this cymbal all the more unique and desirable. Video in this listing from the 2023 NAMM show which proves what this is. Note the comment about these being triple-hammered whereas the standard Turk rides are double-hammered. This is not just their regular Turk ride with a different look. Last, prototypes like this were chosen by the people who made them and tend to be real gems. This cymbal is amazing. Message me for a YouTube link of a brief video of this exact cymbal.
