For sale is a beautifully restored Sansui AU-317 II integrated amplifier (1983), fully serviced with a complete recap and careful calibration.

The AU-317 II is one of Sansui’s most respected classic integrated amplifiers, known for its warm, musical sound, excellent phono stage, and outstanding Japanese build quality.

This unit has been restored to provide reliable long-term performance and excellent sound quality.

Restoration & Service Performed

This amplifier has undergone a full professional service, including:

• Complete replacement of all electrolytic capacitors throughout the unit
• Audio path upgrades using high-quality WIMA / Illinois film capacitors
• New power supply / filter capacitors (Nichicon / United Chemi-Con grade parts)
• New thermal paste applied under the original output transistors for improved heat transfer and long-term reliability
• Speaker protection relay replaced for reliability and safe operation
• All boards and wiring connections re-soldered to eliminate aging/cracked joints and ensure long-term stability
• Full internal inspection, cleaning, and testing

✅ All restoration work was completed by a reputable vintage audio service center in Zagreb, Croatia, at the end of 2025.

Vintage amplifiers often develop weak solder joints over time, so this complete resoldering greatly improves reliability and performance.

Bias & DC Offset Adjustment

After restoration, the amplifier was fully calibrated:

✔ Bias adjusted according to the official Sansui service manual
✔ DC offset set correctly for optimal performance
✔ Final listening tests performed by ear to confirm excellent sound

Important Notes

• Transistors (PNP/NPN) were not replaced, as the originals tested good and did not require changing
• Restoration kit and spare parts shown in photos are for documentation only and are not included in the sale
