The MiniMod Discrete Cascaded VCA is a 10 hp Eurorack module built around two fully discrete transistor VCA cores wired in series, following the topology of the early Model D. It offers two audio inputs with independent level controls, two CV inputs for VCA 1, plus a master CV input and level control for VCA 2. An offset control allows a fixed gain to be added to the first stage, making it easy to dial in everything from subtle shaping to more assertive dynamics.
An internal jumper enables a high-gain mode on VCA 1, pushing it into soft clipping.
