Brazilian rosewood provides depth, complexity, and projection that is difficult to replicate with modern alternatives.
Brazilian rosewood (Dalbergia nigra), sourced by luthier Jim Hewett from pre-ban stock. I live locally and know Jim personally and can confirm his use of premium, properly sourced materials. No formal CITES paperwork included; however, builder provenance and local knowledge of the instrument are available.
A handwritten specification sheet from Jim Hewett is provided as shown in pictures and will be included with the sale.

Comfortable body size with excellent balance and clarity—ideal for fingerstyle but still capable of light flatpicking.
