This is a vibe heavy, amazing sounding single-cut ’58 Duo Jet (SN 29471) with original Filter’Trons (both covers stamped PAT. APPLIED FOR) and the original hardshell case. Electronics appear original with period lead-dress and undisturbed solder . Upgrades include a Vintage V-cut “Gretsch by Bigsby” B3G, roller/bar bridge on a rosewood base, replaced nut, and a small, solid repair at the bass side of the nut/1st-fret area . Honest wear, especially that amazing neck, attests to the 'good ones get played' adage. This one plays cleanly with comfy action, and has that airy, chimey Jet voice.

Fingerboard: Ebony with thumbnail inlays
Pickups: Original Filter’Trons, PAF-stamped covers
- DC readings: Neck 3.99k, Bridge 4.01k
Controls: Master vol (horn), neck & bridge vols, 3-way pickup selector, 3-way tone (“mud”) switch
Hardware: V-cut Bigsby B3G (later add), roller/bar bridge + rosewood base (repro), G-Arrow knobs; strap buttons replaced; various non-original screws; remainder appears original.
Weight: 7 lb 3 oz (super comfortable)
Case: OHSC (MOJO) — grey polka-dot exterior, dark plush interior with blue GRETSCH ribbon
Condition (' Very Good' in all the right ways)
- Finish: Appears original; glossy with light haze, dings/scratches/checking; back shows honest rash.
- Neck/Headstock: Repaired small crack at bass side of nut/1st-fret , probably caused when the nut was replace. Nut replaced. Normal playwear down the back of the neck.
- Body: Extra strap-button hole on bass-side lower bout.
- Frets: Narrow/low with moderate wear in the Cowboy area; plays well up the board.
- Electronics: Appear original; period components and undisturbed solder; control-cavity label visible with SN 29471.
