I am the original owner. This guitar was custom ordered directly from the Collings factory and took approximately 8 months from order to delivery. Built with a 1 3/4” nut, mahogany back & sides, and an Adirondack spruce top, it delivers that dry, punchy, pre-war–inspired tone Collings is known for—deep piano-like bass, strong mids, and clear, powerful highs.
The CJ-35 features Collings’ non-scalloped bracing with three tone bars and a short 24-7/8” scale, giving it a balanced, focused response with plenty of headroom. Equally at home flatpicking or fingerstyle—one of the most versatile slope-shoulder dreadnoughts Collings makes.
This guitar has been played, not parked. I’ve written many songs on it and played many shows with it. It has light surface marks consistent with honest use, nothing structural or concerning. Sounds and plays exactly as a Collings should.
Comes with the original hard case.
It’s a special instrument, but it’s time for it to have a new home.

Cash preferred. Possible high-end acoustic trade considered.
