Rare 1996 ESP Kirk Hammett KH-2 Ouija Signature Black. Custom Order Made in Japan. With Case Candy. Not LTD Limited Number.

Origin: ESP Custom Shop (Kiso/Sado Facility), Japan

This is one Rare Guitar that started the build process in 1994 when the body and neck were finished in Japan in 12/94. The pickups that are installed at the time were from 1996 and then could be matched to the guitar and the sent to paint, as the pickups are painted and clear coated.

All original parts with exception of battery and probably strings.

It is in very good condition and outstanding for the age and the period correct patina for the guitar. As seen in pictures.

III. Historical Significance

This instrument belongs to the "Pre-Lawsuit / Pre-Licensing" era. While Kirk Hammett received his personal one-off in 1990, ESP produced only a negligible amount of these for the public between 1994 and 1998 before production was halted due to trademark disputes with Hasbro.

The "1294" stamp identifies this as one of the earliest known consumer units, predating the more common 1998 "recalled" batch.
