*** ALL INSTRUMENTS ARE SHIPPED AFTER A FULL SETUP HAS BEEN PERFORMED, SO WHEN YOU RECEIVE IT....ITS READY TO GO! ***The Martin D-18 Molly Tuttle is built to honor both tradition and a trailblazing artist. Inspired by Molly’s own 1943 D-18, this signature model features rear-shifted scalloped bracing, a slim 1 11/16" nut width prized by bluegrass flatpickers, and an authentic 1940s neck profile. Unique details include custom moon phase inlays on the fingerboard, a silver Martin headplate logo, oval tuner buttons, and a vintage sunburst top—all paired with a vintage-style light blue molded hardshell case reminiscent of those issued in the 1970s. Crafted with a solid spruce top, solid mahogany back and sides, and ebony appointments, it offers the punch, clarity, and balance players expect from a D-18. A true artist model that reflects Molly’s style, sound, and vision.Specs:Recommended Strings: Authentic Acoustic Lifespan® 2.0 Guitar Strings Phosphor Bronze - MediumTop Material: Solid SpruceFinish Top: GlossTop Color: Vintage SunburstTop Inlay Material: Multi-StripeBinding: Brown Faux TortoiseBridge Material: EbonyBridge Pin Material: Ebony Pickguard: Faux TortoiseRosette: Old Style 18 Multi-StripeSaddle: Compensated BoneSaddle Radius: 16"Body Size: D-14 FretConstruction: Dovetail Neck JointBack & Side Material: Solid MahoganyBack and Side Finish: GlossBack and Sides Color: Dark MahoganyBack Purfling/Strip: Style 18Bracing Pattern: Rearward Shifted X Brace, GE-ScallopedBrace Material: 5/16" SpruceNeck Shape: Authentic 1941 with Standard TaperNeck Material: Genuine MahoganyNeck Color: Dark MahoganyFinish Neck: SatinScale Length: 25.4"Number of Frets Total: 20Neck Joins Body At: 14th FretFingerboard Material: EbonyFingerboard Width at Nut: 1 11/16''Fingerboard Inlay Style: Moon Phase Design, Mother of PearlFingerboard Binding Material: NoneSide Dots: WhiteHeadplate Material: East Indian RosewoodTuning Machines: Nickel Open Gear with Oval knobsNut Material: BoneCase: Molded HardshellPleked: Yes
