This 1979 Fender Precision Bass is all original and comes complete with a TKL moulded hard case - We just love the look of a black '70s Fender Precision with a maple neck. Serial number on the headstock matches that on the back of the scratch plate - number comes back to 1978 manufacture, however pot codes show this is actually a 1979 build.
The Precision is THE classic bass design with its contoured body, single split-coil humbucking pickup and maple neck with Rosewood fretboard. As can be seen in the photographs this bass is generally in great condition, coming complete with its original pickup and bridge covers. The bass does have some heavy finish cracking and bluing to edges (common factory finish flaw for the period), especially evident around the top of both body horns (see last 4 pictures). The frets and fretboard are in great condition with no visible fret wear. The bass comes complete with the original Fender strap bought with the bass, along with original tags and original receipt when bass was purchased in February 1981.
