What to say about the best sounding model of the Juno Series, the king of all Juno's, the magnificent Juno 6.
It sounds creamy, it sounds luscious, it sounds big, it has the heavenly signature Chorus it's easy to program, it's a joy to play with and it's built like a tank. What's not to like?
This unit in particular comes with it's original sturdy case, and has been serviced by Vintage Standards who have installed the famous Tubbutec Midi Kit, so basically it's a Juno 66 as Tubbutec call it. This unit in particular is Japanese and therefore works on 110v. Should you buy from Europe, you will need to also purchase a voltage converter which go for 20-30 euros.
Despite being more than 40 years old (like all Juno 6's), it was previously owned by a japanese, and boy they do take care of their things here. I had it since 4 years and neither me or previous owner smoke. It obviously has some minor scratches both in the case and on the body (check the pictures), but it's kind of impossible not to have them in an unit that is as old as me (and i do have some scuffs myself hahaha). Anyways, the sound and functions are all perfect as guaranteed by the ever serious Vintage Standards, and it sounds as big and beautiful as it was advertised back then, if not even better.
I can send more pictures on deman if needed too.
For those who want to know more, here below are further descriptions of the Tubbutec Kit implementation taken from their website:
Midi in- and output. Can output key presses, arpeggiator, Powerarp and chord memory.
Additional play modes: Polyphonic, Duophonic, Three-Voice, Two Monophonic modes, Chord Memory and Polychord. The Mono- and Duophonic modes feature adjustable fatness
Portamento for all play modes with adjustable speed and behaviour
Powerarp: A powerful sequencer that includes breaks and note lengths and can be triggered by the arp clock, trigger, midi clock or midi trigger. Features various direction, transpose and random modes.
Two additional filter LFOs: A triangular LFO with a frequency of up to 2.2kHz and a S/H style LFO with various clock sources.
A second ADSR for the filter.
Detuning. Turns your Juno into an organic analogue synth.
Alternative tunings: Select from a range of non-equal tempered tunings or upload a custom scale.
Midi filter, pitch bend, arp and portamento control.
Also, and should you not know what this beast is capable of, just listen to the OST of Stranger things cause as someone very wittily put it in the gearsluts forum: - The main arp was done on a Juno 6- The strings were done on a Juno 6- The drums were done on a Juno 6- Man, they even FILMED stranger things on a Juno 6!
