Dentone Heavy Metal clone of MXR Script Logo Distortion plus + 2026

For your consideration, a clone of the MXR Distortion plus built to the schematic of the very early script logo version. NOS LM741 chip provides the engine here, just like the original. An added toggle switch give more versatility by switching between the original 2N270 germanium clipping diodes and more modern 1N914 silicon diodes. Slight volume change between the two, with the germanium being more organic and warm, while the silicon are much more saturated and gain-y.

Built into a bulletproof enclosure with an absolutely beautiful vintage graphic under clearcoat. The pictures don't really do the finish justice. Using the finest parts, this pedal will be passed on to your children. Old school build on stripboard with point to point wiring and true bypass switching.

Sounds great in front of either tube or solid state amps.
