I am offering a Fender Rarities Flame Maple Top Stratocaster Thinline HSS from 2019, a manufactured in Corona, California, limited edition luxury model of the Fender Stratocaster with semi-hollow mahogany body (weighing only 3.18 kg in total!), spectacularly figured flame maple top, bolt-on rosewood neck (!) with modern “Deep C” neck profile, one-piece rosewood fingerboard with 9.5" radius and 22 narrow tall frets, hot Fender USA HSS pickup configuration with two Custom Shop ' 69 Strat singlecoils and a Custom Double Tap humbucker at the bridge, as well as high-quality Fender locking tuners (upgrade!) in violin burst high-gloss finish with three-ply parchment pickguard in mint condition, including Fender luxury hardshell case, manufacturer's papers, and professional setup with 10-gauge Elixir strings.
Impressively figured maple tops on Stratocaster models are otherwise typically associated with manufacturers such as Tom Anderson or Suhr. However, Fender has also ventured into this territory with this limited edition Rarities Stratocaster: with its usual high-quality workmanship and select materials, this Strat combines classic design with modern specifications, creating an incredible result on par with Fender Custom Shop standards.
As a strictly limited special model from 2019, this US-made Fender Rarities Flame Maple Top Stratocaster Thinline HSS combines exquisite woods, exclusive specifications, and a unique interpretation of classic Fender designs. The semi-hollow mahogany body gives the guitar a remarkably open, resonant tone with a noticeable airiness and a warm, carrying foundation. The selected flame maple top not only makes a strong visual statement, but also provides additional clarity and definition in the tone. With a total weight of only 3.18 kg, the guitar also hangs excellently on the strap and offers an extremely comfortable playing feel – both in the studio and on stage.
A real highlight of this Rarities Strat is the bolt-on neck made of solid rosewood, an extremely rare specification that is special in terms of both sound and feel. The modern “Deep C” neck profile fits snugly and comfortably in the hand without feeling clunky, offering a perfect balance of vintage substance and modern ergonomics. The one-piece rosewood fingerboard with a 9.5" radius and 22 narrow tall frets allows for precise, controlled playing with excellent string separation and clean intonation across the entire fingerboard.
Sonically, this model is exceptionally versatile. The neck and middle positions feature Fender Custom Shop '69 Strat singlecoil pickups, which deliver bell-like highs, transparent mids, and the characteristic, slightly hollow Strat sound. A Fender USA Custom Double Tap humbucker complements the setup at the bridge, which can be switched between full humbucker and singlecoil operation via the S-1 switch. This gives the guitar an impressive range—from classic Strat cleans to wiry mid-range tones to powerful, assertive rock sounds.
A sound sample of the model can be found above at the end of the photo gallery.
The professionally upgraded Fender locking tuners ensure high tuning stability and comfortable handling when changing strings. The 2-point synchronized Fender tremolo bridge with polished steel string saddles has also been professionally upgraded, offering a smooth playing feel, precise return to tuning, and excellent vibration transfer.
Visually, the guitar features an elegant violin burst high-gloss finish that impressively highlights the grain of the flamed maple top. The natural matte rosewood neck provides a stylish contrast. The three-ply parchment pickguard, chrome hardware, and overall high-quality craftsmanship underscore the exclusive character of this rare model.
An extraordinary Stratocaster that breaks with convention, impressing with rare tonewoods, enormous tonal flexibility, and the highest quality workmanship—ideal for discerning players, collectors, and Fender enthusiasts.
