Bach Stradivarius ML 37 1979ish - SILVER PLATED

The Bach Stradivarius ML 37 is in the key of Bb (B-flat). This model is the most common professional trumpet in the world, valued for its versatility in jazz, orchestral, and solo settings.

The "ML 37" has a medium-large bore (.459 inches), which is the industry standard, and a #37 Bell , which is a One Piece Hand-Hammered bell, crafted from a single piece of yellow brass, hand-hammered to its final shape. This construction allows the metal to vibrate more freely, enhancing resonance and harmonic complexity.

Early Elkhart Status: Models from the late 1970s are considered part of the "Early Elkhart" era, which many players prize for having a more "hand-built" feel and higher build consistency than later mass-produced models. The Bach 37 bell is the most popular and widely used bell in the Bach Stradivarius line, prized for its extreme versatility across all musical genres. 

Tonal Profile

Rich and Focused: The #37 bell produces a core sound that is rich in overtones but remains centered and "compact" rather than spreading too wide.

Balanced Brilliance: It offers a subtle warmth with enough brilliance to project effectively without becoming overly shrill.

Dynamic Flexibility: It maintains its characteristic core sound across all dynamic levels, from soft solo passages to loud orchestral sections. 

Standard Taper: The "37" refers to the specific mandrel (shape) used to taper the bell. It has a relatively conservative flare compared to other models, staying tighter for longer before widening.

Bell Diameter: The standard diameter is 4.8 inches (122.24 mm)

This horn is in very good shape. All slides and valves operate smoothly. There are no dents but some light scratches are present, visible in the photos. The Silver Plating looks quite nice but is not perfect.

The included mouthpiece is a VINCENT BACH 7C

It comes in a Bach Case which is in decent shape. However, the handle needs to be replaced.
