This DW Collector’s Series Titanium snare occupies a rare tonal space between aluminum, stainless steel, and bronze. It delivers extreme articulation and clarity, with a fast transient attack and an unusually dry yet powerful body for a metal shell. Compared to aluminum, titanium offers greater midrange focus and projection. Explosive rimshots!
- Shell: Seamless Titanium shell
- Shell Thickness: Approx. 1mm (DW spec for titanium)
- Lugs: DW Collector’s Series low-mass turret lugs (10-lug configuration)
- Hoops: Triple-flanged steel hoops (factory standard; some later swapped to die-cast by owners)
- Throw-Off: DW MAG (Magnetic Adjustable Gear) strainer
- Snare Wires: DW True-Tone steel wires
- Finish: Natural brushed titanium
