Marshall JCM 800 4104 2x12 combo, made 1982. Purchased by me in 2006 and been in my possession since.
50w, single channel, High & Low (vertical) inputs, barely used EL34s in the poweramp. Fully working and sounds delicious.
Has definitely seen some use! External condition is very used, has been on the road a fair few times in its 44 years. Hasn't been used in anger for about 6 years.
All original except for replacement front knobs and a subtlely implemented serial FX loop modification to the rear panel, send/return with level db cut and bypass switches. Done professionally by Aston Electronics (Staffordshire) who also did every valve change/bias/service on the amp, last service was end of 2021.
Original Celestion G12-65s which are very nice, nicer than the G12M-70s in the '83 and beyond models.
These models pre '83 with original speakers are difficult to price these days as there just aren't that many still around and/or for sale. ChatGPT (which as we all know is a super reliable source) recommends anywhere between £900 and £1250, which is not that helpful, so it's priced somewhere in the middle but I reserve the right to adjust the price in either direction depending on any information that comes to light or advice from people in the know.
That said, I am open to offers but won't be accepting one until there's some context for whether it's a decent offer, i.e., other offers in the same region, advice from shops/sellers. I hope you'll understand that this is just so I get a fair value for the amp, and not that I'm trying to fleece anyone.
