This is a 2015 Gibson Custom Shop True Historic 1959 Les Paul, expertly aged by legendary Master Artisan Tom Murphy. The True Historic series represents Gibson’s most accurate recreation of a late-1950s Les Paul, featuring period-correct construction, plastics, hardware, and finish for unmatched vintage authenticity.
Finished in a beautifully aged nitrocellulose lacquer, this guitar captures the look, feel, and resonance of an original 1959 Burst. Tom Murphy’s aging work adds realistic checking, wear, and patina, giving it the character of a well-preserved vintage instrument without compromising playability.
