The Ibanez RG653DXTDF Prestige in Transparent Deep Blue Flat is built for players who live on the edge of the fretboard. It’s a fast, no-nonsense RG with a sleek finish, rock-solid hardware, and a pickup set that’s all about clarity, punch, and sustain.

Features

This RG sticks to the classic high-performance Ibanez recipe: a super-fast neck, a sharp, comfortable double-cutaway body, and precise hardware that stays out of your way and lets your hands do the talking. The Transparent Deep Blue Flat finish gives it a modern, stage-ready look that shows off the body lines without being flashy.

As a Prestige model, it’s built with the kind of attention to detail that rewards fast runs, big bends, and intricate rhythm work. The neck profile is designed for speed and comfort, making wide stretches, legato runs, and tight alternate picking feel smooth and controlled. Paired with a locking tremolo system and precise tuning hardware, it’s ready for aggressive whammy work and heavy riffing without losing its composure.

Tone

This guitar is all about articulate attack and focused power. The pickup configuration delivers tight lows that don’t get muddy, present mids that cut through a mix, and clear highs that stay defined even under heavy gain. Clean tones come through with plenty of shimmer and detail, while driven sounds stay punchy and controlled, ideal for complex chords, fast lines, and harmonically rich leads.

Whether you’re chugging through palm-muted riffs, ripping through solos, or laying down glassy cleans, this RG feels responsive and alive under your fingers, encouraging you to push your playing a little harder every time you plug it in.
