Fresh from the workshop/laboratory at Hunter Amplifiers, the Keno Comet - a little giant of a 5-watt beast!
From Bob, the builder: "I'm excited to introduce my newest, unique amplifier head to the world! With five tubes delivering five watts at 8 ohms, it features an EF86 pentode, a 6AV6 triode gain stage, and a 6SN7GT cathode follower that beautifully powers a Baxandall (Ampeg) tone stack. Another 6SN7GT gain stage drives a 6V6S power tube, all of which are controlled by four knobs with a single input jack on the faceplate. A 5Y3 tube rectifier provides it all with power. It's hand-built from start to finish, including the solid pine Tolex-covered cabinet."
