Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa Humbucker Pickup Set – SH-17N / SH-17B (Nickel Covers)
Up for sale is a genuine Seymour Duncan Joe Bonamassa signature humbucker set, originally pulled from a Gibson Joe Bonamassa Les Paul. I know this because I still have the Les Paul :-) I liked these pickups but I had a vintage PAF set from a long time ago that took their place.
These were not offered as a standard aftermarket release, making them incredibly hard to find.
Both pickups function perfectly and sound fantastic. The nickel covers show natural patina and light wear, giving them an authentic, broken-in vintage look that many players prefer. If you don't like that, new covers are an easy swap. :-)
These are 4 CONDUCTOR pickups!! - so you can do coil tapping and other fun stuff not available to most traditional 2 wire pickups.
Details:
- Model numbers: SH-17N (Neck) / SH-17B (Bridge)
- Nickel covers with visible patina and honest wear
- Bridge impedance: 8.11kΩ
- Neck impedance: 7.53kΩ
- Removed from a Joe Bonamassa Gibson Les Paul
- Fully tested and working 100%
- Classic PAF-inspired tone with added clarity, punch, and musical midrange
These pickups deliver the articulate, dynamic response Joe is known for—warm and expressive cleans, rich harmonics, and smooth sustain when pushed. Perfect for blues, classic rock, and vintage-voiced Les Paul or ES-style builds.
A rare chance to grab a true Bonamassa-spec Seymour Duncan set with real character and provenance.
