Gibson / 1957 Southern Jumbo

The Southern Jumbo, introduced as a higher-end model than the J-45, features a 16-inch round-shouldered body and inlays on the headstock and fingerboard.

—The brilliance of mother-of-pearl

The headstock features Gibson's modern logo, but while the J-45 features a gold silkscreen, the Southern Jumbo's logo is made of mother-of-pearl.
In addition to the logo, a crown inlay adorns the headstock.

The rosewood fingerboard features a luxurious double parallelogram inlay instead of dot position markers.

This 16-inch, round-shoulder guitar features a spruce top.

The sunburst finish, along with scratches and small dents that suggest years of playing, adds a touch of weather-checking to the vintage look.

The large, dark-colored pickguard is characteristic of this era.

The back and sides are made of mahogany, which perfectly matches the crisp tone characteristic of Gibson guitars with the vibrant, expansive high notes.
The back strip features a black line.

The mahogany neck has a moderate thickness, providing a comfortable grip without feeling too thick.
A strap pin has been added to the neck heel.

The bridge is a rosewood upper belly bridge with a short saddle.

The tuning machines are equipped with KLUSON DELUXE double-line pegs.

While the torque is stiffer, it does not interfere with playability, so you can use it with confidence.

This item has been carefully played and has weather-checked surfaces, giving it a dignified and stylish vintage look. Don't miss this opportunity to try it out!
