Another curiosity from the depths of Old Bench Studios. I’ve had this ‘76 Hardtail Strat sitting around for a while. It was refinished in a cool Smokehouse Burst with gloss poly finish. I sanded the back glossy and pretty level for a glossy mirror but left the textured glossy grain on the face because it’s just too pretty!

Just about everything has been replaced on this thing. Nice old Schaller tuners, refret, new pickguard loaded w Fender Noiseless pickups. Middle pickup cavity routed to fit a Humbucker.

The neck is straight and set up for comfy action. The refret job was a bit sloppy (not me) but frets are in good shape and pretty well dressed. Truss is nearly loosened for light relief.

It plays and sounds very nice! Includes old Ibanez hard case that holds it pretty well.
