Condition: Used – Very Good

The Tascam DM-4800 is fully functional and in very good working condition. During normal console operation, all pan controls function correctly and behave as expected. All faders, knobs, encoders, routing, automation, audio I/O, and internal processing operate properly.

A small number of buttons require slightly more pressure to engage due to age; this is common for consoles of this era and does not affect functionality.

The console features a brand new custom Japanese-made LED graphic display, recently installed. The screen is bright, clear, fully responsive, and represents a significant upgrade over the original CCFL-backlit display.

Minor DAW/MIDI Note: Only when used as a MIDI/DAW controller does a minor, intermittent pan behavior appear on one channel, where the pan may move slightly to the right. This is intermittent, does not affect normal console operation, and may be related to DAW configuration or internal automation settings. The pan works perfectly within the console itself.

Cosmetically, the unit shows only light signs of normal studio use, with no damage affecting performance. Please review photos for exact condition.

Item Description

For sale is a well-maintained Tascam DM-4800 professional digital mixing console. I primarily used it as a MIDI/DAW controller rather than a full multi-input mixing desk.

I purchased this unit from Reverb, where it had previously been used in a church environment. The minor DAW-related pan behavior described above was present when I received the unit and has remained unchanged. I am disclosing it here for full transparency, even though it has been minor and non-impactful in use.

Since owning it, the console has remained on my studio desk, has been well cared for, and used in a clean, non-smoking environment. I am selling only because I overestimated the number of inputs needed, and this console is simply overkill for my current setup.
