Incredible sounding and super reliable set of 19a4's for sale!
Beautiful 3 dimensional sound - they have the smoothness of a ribbon mic, with the detail of a condenser. An absolute dream drum overhead mic, acoustic and electric guitar mic. Also great on piano or any stringed instrument - surprisingly great on vocals as well.
The connectors have been replaced with new precision-machined 7-pin replacement connectors designed by SAAS Vintage to solve the long-standing reliability issues found in the original Soviet connectors. And with new XLR connectors on the other end going into the power supply.
The power supply has recently been serviced/calibrated, and tubes have been replaced with NOS tubes by local tech Jozef Caldwell (who worked for Russian Recording/SAAS for many years.
I bought these from Mike at Russian Recording/SAAS Vintage who is an expert on Lomo Mics.
These are small diaphragm condenser tube mics, switchable between cardiod and omni.
They come with two custom 19a4 power supplies built by John Peluso, two custom cables, two 19a4 windscreens, and modern shockmounts which work great for these mics.
