EMT 240 Vintage Plate Reverb
A sought after, vintage piece of recording history from 1971. Serial Number 0638, this EMT offers a lush and bright sound. True stereo in and out, adjustable reverb times (0.5 to 5 seconds), providing flexibility for vocals, drums, and other instruments.
Instead of a large metal plate, it uses a thin, tensioned sheet of gold foil (18 microns thick) as the reverberant surface, capturing vibrations from transducers similar to a dynamic microphone. This reverb measures at 25" x 12" x 24.6" and weighs about 150 lbs.
