1948 Gibson BR-9 Pickup aka Wide Oval / Racetrack pickup. Early vintage P-90 style with fixed metal pole pieces. Sound is luscious.
Rewound using Elektrisola 42awg plain enamel wire. DCR ~9.35k
Original long rough cast magnets, wood spacers, cloth covered start and finish wires, braided shield lead wire, grounding lock washer, screws, baseplate, bobbin. (Everything is original apart from the 42awg magnet wire, tape, and teeny bit of 63/37 solder)
Used in the early Gibson BR-9 Lap steels and archtops this has wider string spread than your usual electric guitar pickup but can be angled (like tele bridge pickup) to align with standard guitars string spacing.
