Rooted in guitar history yet crafted for today’s performer, the Epiphone Masterbilt Texan in Faded Cherry Aged Gloss blends vintage character with modern reliability. Inspired by the legendary 1960s Texans famously played by artists like Paul McCartney and Peter Frampton, this Masterbilt rendition captures the original’s iconic voice while enhancing durability, playability, and stage-ready versatility.

A solid Sitka spruce top paired with solid mahogany back and sides delivers warm, balanced tone with excellent projection. The classic round-shoulder dreadnought Texan body shape provides a rich low end, articulate highs, and a dynamic, expressive response.

The 1960s SlimTaper “C”-profile mahogany neck offers a smooth, comfortable feel ideal for strumming and fingerstyle work alike. Its Indian laurel fingerboard with mother-of-pearl parallelogram inlays adds a timeless look, while medium-jumbo frets ensure confident playability across all 20 frets. A bone nut and saddle improve sustain, clarity, and tuning stability.

For performance, the Texan comes equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Fishman Sonitone soundhole-mounted preamp, giving you natural, transparent acoustic tone with simple volume and tone controls. The system preserves the guitar’s traditional aesthetic while providing reliable plug-and-play amplification.

Finished in Faded Cherry Aged Gloss with vintage-style hardware, a reverse belly bridge, and an authentic blue soundhole label, this model looks as classic as it sounds. Epiphone backs the Masterbilt Texan with a Limited Lifetime Warranty supported by Gibson.
