The Gibson Elvis Dove is a stunning tribute to one of Elvis Presley’s most beloved stage acoustics, capturing the elegance, power, and unmistakable presence of the King’s iconic Dove model. Carefully re-created with period-correct specs and elevated craftsmanship, this modern interpretation brings together premium tonewoods, custom aesthetic details, and exceptional electronics to deliver a guitar worthy of the legend it honors. With its brilliant projection, refined playability, and unmistakably regal flair, the Elvis Dove stands as both a collector’s dream and a professional performer’s workhorse.

At its core, the guitar features the classic Dove body shape, known for producing a well-balanced, articulate voice with excellent volume and sustain. The top is crafted from Sitka spruce, a time-tested tonewood prized for its responsiveness, clarity, and dynamic versatility. Complementing it are maple back and sides, which add brightness, punch, and definition, creating a tone that is powerful yet finely detailed—ideal for rhythm work, flatpicking, and expressive lead acoustic playing. Inside, traditional hand-scalloped X-bracing ensures optimal resonance and structural integrity, allowing the spruce top to vibrate freely and deliver that signature Dove projection.

The body is adorned with classic Gibson appointments, including 5-ply binding on the top, 3-ply binding on the back, and single-ply binding on the fingerboard, giving the Elvis Dove an elegant, vintage-inspired appearance. This refined detailing, paired with its striking natural finish and gold hardware, evokes the sophisticated stage presence that Elvis himself was known for.

The neck is crafted from maple and shaped into Gibson’s comfortable Round profile, offering a familiar and inviting feel that suits a wide range of playing styles. With a 25.5" (647.7 mm) scale length, the Elvis Dove provides added string tension and a snappy, articulate response—perfect for strong strumming and crisp, defined note attack. The Indian rosewood fingerboard features 20 frets, a 1.725" (43.81 mm) bone nut, and iconic Mother-of-Pearl Parallelogram inlays, all contributing to a smooth playing experience and unmistakably classic Gibson aesthetic.

One of the most visually distinctive features of the Dove model is its ornate rosewood bridge, and the Elvis Dove proudly continues that tradition with a Rosewood Dove bridge adorned with Mother-of-Pearl dove inlays. This signature detail not only serves as a tribute to the original but also enhances the guitar’s overall charm and individuality. The headstock is fitted with Keystone Waffleback tuners with gold plating, ensuring stable tuning performance while adding a luxurious vintage touch.

For modern performance needs, the Elvis Dove comes equipped with a LR Baggs VTC under-saddle pickup, known for delivering natural, richly detailed acoustic tone when amplified. The system includes soundhole-mounted volume and tone controls, allowing players to make subtle adjustments easily onstage or in studio settings without compromising the guitar’s classic appearance.

The Gibson Elvis Dove is a masterful combination of craftsmanship, history, and performance. Whether you’re a devoted Elvis fan, a collector seeking a standout acoustic, or a musician craving a powerful, articulate, and beautifully adorned guitar, the Elvis Dove offers an inspiring experience worthy of the King himself.
