At Interstellar Guitars, the Carr Mercury V is our boutique-class rocket core—a compact, hand-built combo capable of everything from soft cosmic glow to full British starfire. Wrapped in Custom Fawn Slub with Black Gator, it looks as striking as the tones it unleashes.
Powered by 16 watts of 6V6 authority, the Mercury V channels snarling, Marshall-esque attitude with an evolved preamp featuring dual Volume controls, a three-position Boost, and a versatile EQ. Whether you’re chasing ’60s chime, ’70s crunch, ’80s/’90s classic rock heat, or modern high-gain sizzle, this amp delivers—with the feel, punch, and touch response that made the original Mercury the famed “Tone of the Gods.”
Run the High and Low channels in parallel for classic jumpered grit, or cascade them in series for interstellar gain levels. Carr’s legendary onboard attenuator lets you command stack-like thunder at any volume—from 4 watts down to a whisper—while tube-driven spring reverb and a post-power-amp Line Out expand your sonic universe even further.
Handcrafted with dovetailed North Carolina pine, NASA-grade components, and point-to-point wiring, the Mercury V is built like a boutique spacecraft and sounds every bit as inspiring.
A true cosmic shapeshifter—portable, powerful, and terrifyingly good.
