One of just 47 in this limited run of guitars according to the fine folks at the Fender Custom Shop. Original specs are at the bottom. Fantastic natural resonance and sustain, with a chunky yet super comfortable worn-in neck featuring a AAA rosewood fretboard that is as dark as they come.

This guitar is selling new for $6,000 online. This is NOT the original white version, which was a prior release and retailed for roughly half as much. This Strat is basically the highest tier of quality for a team-built custom shop guitar. Anything more and you're looking at a Masterbuilt, which of course sell for Masterbuilt prices (which now start around $9K).

The relic work on this is immaculate. You can tell they really took their time. And unlike other relic paint jobs, this one is quite tasteful, and does a great job highlighting the beautiful and unique wood grain underneath.

I've made the following upgrades:

1) Pickups are from a small boutique builder in the UK (Sunbear).  They're a set of 59/69 SSS pickups no longer available for purchase on Sunbear's website. I had them aged to match the guitar, and paid over $300 total, which you'll be getting included for no extra cost. (Original pickups, which are also hand wound, are listed below.) It's not your average Strat tone, and in the best way possible, with none of the ice-pick treble in the bridge position, yet maintaining the classic SRV/Mayer quack in the neck position. I have Josefina Campos pickups in my other Strat, and honestly this one sounds even better in the neck position. It's a treat.

2) Mirroring the ancho poblano theme, the pickguard and matching backplate are custom made Sugar Skull / Day of the Dead design.  They were fabricated out of aluminum, so no additional shielding necessary to reduce pickup hum.  They were also shipped from abroad (not sure if the manufacturer is still producing this specific set). Cost me ~$180. (Original pickguard is black and will come with shielding plate.)

3) Pickup covers and knobs were changed from white to black. (Original hardware matches the selector switch tip, which I kept white for aesthetic purposes.)

PLEASE NOTE: I kept all the original parts, which I am happy to send to you. In all, you'll be getting about $500 of freebies. If you want me to reinstall the original components before shipping, I am happy to do so, but then I will keep the aftermarket items listed above.

Reason I'm selling has nothing to do with my feelings about the guitar. I have a strict one in, one out policy, and since joining a band, I need to make room for a hollowbody. Because I have another Strat that has more sentimental value, this unfortunately found itself on the chopping block.
