This handy box boasts a completely flat 20Hz–20kHz response to serve as your sonic base, no matter what instrument you’re using. If you like to change up your gear often or run a multi-instrument setup, dual LI and DI modes offer optimal connection to both high-impedance and low-impedance sources. The Sum XLR switch conveniently merges the Left Out and Right Out signals into a mono balanced signal, while the XLR Phase switch corrects polarity issues in stereo configurations by flipping the Right Out signal relative to the Left Out. Moreover, a -15dB Pad switch — -35dB total when combined with the DI mode’s built-in pad — and a hum-reducing Ground Lift switch make the Walrus Audio Canvas Stereo DI box a hassle-free, all-in-one solution that ensures hooking up your live rig will be a breeze.

Direct Injection and Line Isolator modes

• Direct Injection mode: If you’re running a high-impedance source like a guitar or bass, the DI mode should be your first choice. This mode functions best with an output impedance of 1,000 ohms and above, and it applies a -20dB pad (-35dB with the regular Pad switch engaged) to balance your sound levels properly.
• Line Isolator mode: The LI mode functions similarly to the DI mode, but is better utilized for low-impedance sources like amp/cab sims, keys, synths, and any other source under 1,000 ohms. This mode will require significantly less preamp gain than DI mode.
