Pioneer SA-7500

A rare find for vintage audio enthusiasts: this Pioneer SA-7500 integrated amplifier is in exceptional condition with all original components, performing above factory specifications. According to the professional technician who recently serviced it, this unit has clearly been meticulously cared for throughout its life—a true "closet queen.".

Recently professionally serviced by Video Electronics of North Reading, MA (see photo of service receipt), this amp performed very well in every aspect and required no repairs whatsoever. Instead, it underwent a full round of preventative maintenance:
• All pots and switches flushed, cleaned, and exercised
• Solder joints touched up as needed
• Full functional testing across all inputs, tape loops, filters, and speaker outputs
• Verified stable performance across both channels with plenty of clean headroom

The technician noted that, given the superb internal condition, performance, and beautiful exterior, this SA-7500 was clearly very well cared for. In their words, it is rare to see an entirely original unit measuring this well nearly 50 years later.

Condition

Front Panel:

Absolutely gorgeous brushed-aluminum faceplate with only the most minimal signs of age. All knobs and switches are original, firm, responsive, and clean.
The dial lamps and indicators function correctly.

Bonnet / Case:

Very good overall with minor wear consistent with age — light marks and a few small areas of finish wear visible under scrutiny, but nothing distracting in normal use. No dents or structural issues.

Rear Panel:

Clean, intact, with pristine RCA blocks, strong speaker terminals, and intact factory jumpers linking the pre-out / power-in section.

Functionality:

100% working.
Every input, output, filter, tape loop, control, and switch performs exactly as intended.
Quiet background, excellent stereo imaging, strong bass, articulate mids, and the sweet high end Pioneer is beloved for.
