Guitar has very little fret ware...hardly been played!
Body: Left Hand Premier Swamp Ash finished in Vintage Satin Two-tone Sunburst nitrocellulose - super thin coats, the bare minimum!
Neck: Tom’s Secret Stash, Birdseye, roasted Maple, slim 60s profile
Truss rod: Two-way, heel spoke wheel adjustment
F/B: Matching Tom’s Secret Stash Birdseye, roasted Maple (9.5 - 12 inch compound radius)
Frets: Stew Mac 154 medium tall
P/ups: Radioshop ID:63 GT single coil pickups (bridge unit has a metal base plate for extra ’oomph!’.
Electrics: CRL switch, CTS pots, one tone for neck, one tone for bridge.
Tremolo: Wudtone Holy Grail with Highwood aged saddles
Tuners: Vintage Gotoh, staggered
Case: Hiscox hard case
The roasted Maple neck has awesome Birdseye figuring and feels exquisite to play with it’s hand finished oil and wax surface.
‘Tom’s Secret Stash’ refers only to the very finest pieces of Maple that I can source straight from the Maple forests of Nova Scotia, Canada.
This beautiful Emperor has a ‘found under Grandpas’s bed’ sort of finish.
The satin paint work is smooth to the touch and very clean.
All the ageing on the hardware matches beautifully.
