Listening to a vintage Vacuum Tube Stereo is a completely different experience of sound: Clear, direct, present, airy, natural and warm probably describe it best, but there is nothing like actually experiencing it for yourself. This unit was made in the good old USA in 1962 at a time when the finest and the best were still values strived for. I completely refurbished this unit, so it sounds at it best and reliably performs. It is truly amazing what a 2 x one Watt vacuum tube amplifier together with vintage high efficiency speakers bring forth! A good amount of volume with presence and depth in sound! This unit features a fine quality all metal British made Garrard record changer, which plays all record types stacked: 16, 33, 45 and 78 RPM and there is a flip-over needle for LP and 78 that supports that.

Working Condition: Fully restored, expected to perform at it's best for many years to come - details see "purchase agreement" below

Work performed: - Amplifier: Replaced capacitors, re-soldered aged solder points, treated controls and switches with contact cleaner - Record changer chassis: refurbished the idler wheel, de-greased and re-lubricated all mechanical parts - treated for corrosion. Alignments and calibrations. - Speakers: Cleaning and detail work, Replaced one of the speaker plugs with a high quality plug,re-attached trim work. Casing: re-attched the unit's lid, physical cleanign and detail work, re-attached loose Tolex. Overall: physical cleaning and detail work, full functional test. About 14 work hours plus parts went into refurbishing this unit which would come to $1500 - Accept my $300 price break gift to you for this holiday season! (not valid after Januarry)

Physical Condition: typical signs of age related and use, such as scratches, dings, discoloration and other defects - the Tolex has come loose particularly in the lid - it seems the unit had at some point been stored in a damp environment - overall condition basically good but let's call it fair - the lid of the unit is definitely in fair condition.
