Cardioid Pattern to Limit Bleed 
The cardioid Rohiauder RH287 utilizes a proven transformerless circuit found in high-end microphones to achieve its exceptionally 
low self-noise and the hiahest sound pressure level transmission possible. By focusing on this pattern - ideal for most recording situations - the attenuation of unwanted rear sound has been optimized. Off-axis sounds are captured naturally, while isolation is enhanced. This also results in high feedback suppression when the micropnone is used in live settings or environments wit loudspeaker playback. At this price, there's no reason not to have a pair! 
Classic Design for Transparent Sound 
The RH 287 is addressed from the front. marked with the red Rohiauder logo on the microphone body. The U 87 large diaphragm capsule is based on a classic design, known for its clear and detailed sound reproduction. The capsule has a flat frequency response up to about 5kHz, with a wide flat presence boost of 4dB above that. The large wire mesh headgrille protects the capsule from plosive sounds, effectively preventing pop noises. These characteristics are achieved without corrective resonance effects allowing the RH287 to maintain excellent impulse response and reproduce music and speech details without coloration. With its incredibly low self-noise level, even the smallest signals are captured with virtually no noise. Capable of handling sound pressure levels up to 138dB without distortion, the RH287 offers a dynamic range of 131dB (A-weighted).
