Ludwig Engraved Black Beauty Snare Drum 1976-1983. This drum is from 1976-1983. The Premier hoops and strainer are not original to the drum. The strainer added extra holes to the drum. The wires are stretched out causing the strainer to be overtightened to work, making it difficult to operate. Due to this I have put on a Ludwig butt plate and a Indi strainer (using a large washer to fit over the hole for the premier strainer) on the drum to make it easier to play. The premier mechanism comes with the drum and can be re-installed if chosen.

I was told this drum was in an accident where pyro went off on stage and scorched the backside and the bearing edges. This is purely cosmetic and the drum tunes just fine. Great players grade Black Beauty!
