Fender Japan JB62-95 Jazz Bass. Japan vintage made in 1990. Originally lacquer painted.

I've been selling more than 50 MIJ guitars on reverb.com from 18'.

Yet, I do have more than a decade of selling experience on ebay as g250547, which has more than 400 positive feedbacks.

Feel free for any questions and expect me for a reliable transaction!

This is a very cool bass by Fender Japan made in 90's Very fine Japan Vintage nice axe!

It sounds great! Though this is not American bass, it creates warm and nice vintage tone.

• I have confirmed at least 1/3 more round to go on the truss rod. Since this have to be done with the string tensions off, which makes the neck convexly bowed, I couldn’t go any further. It may turn more if the condition changes.

• Quite slim, typical Jazz Bass C shaped, very playable.

• Original “95” sticker is still attached on the headstock, indicating this bass is to be JB62-95 model.

• Frets are well remaining, I would say 80% (1-3rd frets), 85% (4-11th frets), 90% (12-17th frets), 95%(18-20th frets), quite good amount left for a 35 years old used bass. Few dents are visible in lower position frets, leveling and fret dressing by a professional repair may give better playability, but I felt it’s not necessary at moment.

• Serial number on the neck is J010092, stamped “JBA-62”, dated “90.12.12” on the neck.

• Stamped “JB62-90” on the neck pocket of the body.

• According to the Fender Japan catalog of the time, this bass has basswood body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard, ST-Vintage (USA) pickups.

• According to the Fender catalog of the time, It has reverse winding tuners, spiral vintage bridge saddles, JB-vintage (USA) pickup, alder body, maple neck, rosewood fretboard, lacquer painted.

• Pickups seemingly have original sponges which keep and adjust the height of them. The sponges are so strongly adhered to the pickup bottom and the shielding plate, that I couldn’t remove and take the pictures to show how they look at the bottom of the pickups.

• Adjusted with a thin piece of paper (shimmed), but feel free to take it off to your style.

• Pickup outputs are 6.91 (neck), 7.19 (bridge) ohm.

• No issue with the electronics.

• Weighs 8.91 lb.

• Comes with the original 90’s fender gig bag.

• Several sticker marks are visible at the back of the body.

• The paint has melted at the bottom of the body.

• Shipping and the payment terms are described below.

This instrument is in good condition for the age. There are polish swirls, small dents and scratches as you can see on the pictures.

The instruments I am selling are all vintage and not played for a while. There could be some crunches on electronics, but they are all within the extent of which are fixable with the use of lubricant sprays unless I note specifically as defects.

If you are picky with them, this vintage guitar is not for you.

Please have a look at the pictures and judge with what you see.

About shipping (Very important)

Currently, Japan Post is only supplying EMS (very fast express) or Sea freight (very cheap, but takes 2-3 months) to many countries.

Some countries are even restricted to use either or could be impossible to ship.

In some cases, I may have to separate the neck from the body due to the size limitation.

e.g.) If no air freight is available, but sea freight is only the option. I may have to use the latter. But some countries limit the maximum length to be 1.05m, which is impossible to ship without separation.

Please understand and agree with the possible changes in the shipping method.

The situation may change on daily basis.

For the precise info, please access to the Japan Post website and get info by yourself.

Since there are so many people asking, I will not answer to the specific questions about your country's status.

Countries which will be sent by EMS are:

Great Britain, Germany, Bulgaria, Norway, Russia ($178)

Israel, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, United States ($182)

Taiwan ($98)

Sea freight could be the option for about half the price (check out by yourself from here

It is a 8000 grams parcel shipped from Tokyo Japan)

For other countries, check the availability of the shipping and the rate from Japan Post website.

I believe following countries are able to ship, but not sure SAL (Not the express, may take 2-3 weeks, but a little cheaper than EMS) is available at this moment.

France, Finland, Greece, Greenland, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Monaco, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, spain, Sweden, Switzerland

Honkong, China, Singapore, Thailand

Please check your status and rate if you want to know.

If you think the shipping charge is expensive or want to know about EMS, SAL and Sea freight rate, please have a look at Overall (Guitar, packing materials) weighs 8 Kg and I suppose this is the appropriate amount that I may ask for.

Other sellers may demand less than me for the shipping, but my starting price is lower than other sellers.

Shipping fee defining is a little complicated that I just set it as $178 to countries besides USA and Japan. Yet, when buyer is from other countries, I will refund the shipping fee based on actual cost.

Be careful that you may have to pay import duty depending on your custom policy.

This guitar is listed from Japan and will be shipped from here. No trade/low cash offer. You will be ignored and will be on my

blocklist.
