I'm hoping someone can tell me what the heck this is. I'm unable to find it on the internet. It's much like an early sixties Harmony H22, but with some exceptions. First, the bridge is very different and rests on a wood riser. I did find one of the risers for sale for fifty bucks, but no pic of the guitar to which it belongs. The headstock logo is rectangular tortoise shell with Harmony engraved. Three small screw holes in the top suggest it had a pickguard at one time but if so it's long gone. The tuners are replacements, I'm sure, but old anyway. I find no evidence of a model or serial number. Looking at a fairly comprehensive list of Harmony guitar and bass models with pics on the web, I did not find this one. I suspect it predates the H22, maybe even fifties, but not sure. It does work electrically but the pots are scratchy. Wood is all in reasonable shape with no breaks or cracks, binding is pretty good, finish is beat up some. there is one area about 4" between the jack and the strap pin where there is a small separation between the side wood and the top - repairable. No case.
Any info appreciated! Yeah, the price is crazy because I'm not really ready to sell it until I know more. Once I know what it is, it will be for sale at a reasonable price.
Thanks!
